Women UNITED's literacy initiative focuses on recruiting and placing community volunteers in schools all across Denton County to promote literacy.
Elementary Schools
Become a Reading Buddy for students at local Title 1 schools. There are 26 elementary schools to choose from so you are guaranteed to find one conveniently located to your home or work.
Step One
Registration for reading volunteers in local ISD's has closed for the 2024/2025 school year.
After April 1, 2025, new registrations will be for the 2025/2026 school year.
This program is in partnership with Communities In Schools North Texas.
